{"id":1208,"date":"2024-04-15T13:46:22","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T13:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.hcc.creo.co.uk\/?p=1208"},"modified":"2024-05-22T13:56:48","modified_gmt":"2024-05-22T13:56:48","slug":"ffermio-da-byw-yng-nghymru-yn-hanfodol-ar-gyfer-amgylchedd-iach-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/meatpromotion.wales\/cy\/newsroom\/ffermio-da-byw-yng-nghymru-yn-hanfodol-ar-gyfer-amgylchedd-iach-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Ffermio da byw yng Nghymru yn hanfodol ar gyfer amgylchedd iach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ar drothwy Diwrnod Daear y Byd (22 Ebrill), mae Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) yn atgoffa\u2019r cyhoedd am gyfraniad hollbwysig ffermio da byw wrth ofalu am yr amgylchedd, ac yn pwysleisio bod gwahaniaeth amlwg mewn systemau cynhyrchu ar draws y byd.<\/p>\n<p>Dywedodd Pennaeth Cynaliadwyedd a Pholisi\u2019r Dyfodol yn HCC, Rachael Madeley-Davies: \u201cMae ffermwyr Cymru\u2019n gwybod os byddwch yn gofalu am yr amgylchedd, fe fydd yr amgylchedd yn gofalu amdanoch chi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cErs canrifoedd, maen nhw wedi chwarae rhan ganolog yn y gwaith o greu a chynnal y tirweddau gwledig prydferth rydyn ni\u2019n eu hadnabod ac yn eu caru, ac mae eu rheolaeth gynaliadwy wedi helpu i greu amgylchedd gwledig amrywiol sy\u2019n gyfoethog o ran bywyd gwyllt ac yn gyfeillgar i ymwelwyr, diolch i rwydwaith o lwybrau troed a gynhelir gan ffermwyr.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wrth i effaith amaethyddiaeth ar newid yn yr hinsawdd barhau i fod yn bwnc llosg iawn, mae HCC yn atgoffa pobl sut mae effaith amgylcheddol y gwahanol systemau ffermio ar draws y byd yn amrywio\u2019n fawr, a bod Cymru yn addas dros ben ar gyfer magu gwartheg a defaid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae gan y ffordd Gymreig o ffermio stori wahanol iawn i\u2019w hadrodd o\u2019i chymharu \u00e2 rhai o\u2019r systemau dwys a diwydiannol mewn rhannau eraill o\u2019r byd.\u00a0 Gyda\u2019u safonau uchel o hwsmonaeth anifeiliaid a rheoli tir glas, mae ein ffermydd teuluol wedi helpu i ddiogelu ein tirwedd unigryw ers cenedlaethau a byddan nhw\u2019n dal i wneud hynny am genedlaethau i ddod,\u201d ychwanegodd Rachael Madeley-Davies.<\/p>\n<p>Mae\u2019r mwyafrif helaeth (80%) o dir fferm Cymru yn anaddas ar gyfer tyfu cnydau, a magu gwartheg a defaid yw\u2019r ffordd fwyaf effeithlon o droi tir ymylol yn fwyd o ansawdd uchel.<\/p>\n<p>Nid yw\u2019r ffordd Gymreig o ffermio yn ddwys ar y cyfan. Yn wahanol i rannau eraill o\u2019r byd, lle mae adnoddau d\u0175r yn cael eu disbyddu neu lawer o dir yn cael ei ddefnyddio i dyfu porthiant, mae\u2019r rhan fwyaf o ddefaid a gwartheg Cymru yn cael eu magu drwy ddefnyddio ein hadnoddau naturiol, sef porfa\u00a0 a d\u0175r glaw.<\/p>\n<p>Mae\u2019r tir glas ar fryniau Cymru yn dal carbon o&#8217;r atmosffer, ac mae ffermwyr Cymru yn helpu i liniaru newid hinsawdd drwy reoli&#8217;r tir glas hwn wrth gyfuno arferion traddodiadol a datblygiadau arloesol. Un o\u2019r ffermwyr sy\u2019n gwneud hyn yw Emily Jones.\u00a0 Mae hi a\u2019i rhieni, Peter a Gill, yn manteisio ar arbenigedd sawl cenhedlaeth o ffermwyr\u00a0 i gynhyrchu Cig Oen Cymru a Chig Eidion Cymru danteithiol.<\/p>\n<p>Mae ucheldiroedd canolbarth Cymru yn anaddas ar gyfer tyfu cnydau oherwydd, yr un fath \u00e2&#8217;r rhan fwyaf o Gymru, mae&#8217;r tir yn ymylol. Fodd bynnag, mae da byw yn ffynnu ar y bryniau hyn. Saif Garn-wen \u2013\u00a0 ffermdy llechi a cherrig sydd yn ganrifoedd oed, ynghyd \u00e2 nifer o dai allan \u00e2 waliau sychion traddodiadol \u2013 ym Mhen-uwch, tua saith milltir o Dregaron a 17 milltir o Aberystwyth<\/p>\n<p>Mae\u2019r fferm 150-erw yn cynnal uned o wartheg cig a defaid .\u00a0 Mae\u2019r defaid yn cynnwys diadell fasnachol o ddefaid EasyCare a Mynydd De Cymru, ynghyd \u00e2 Cheviots Parciau Gogledd Lloegr, Cheviots Bryniau Gogledd Lloegr a defaid Bryniau Charmoise. O ran cig eidion, mae&#8217;r fuches yn cynnwys gwartheg croes Stabilizer, gwartheg Byrgorn Cig Eidion pedigri a gwartheg Cochion Moel.<\/p>\n<p>Wrth drafod eu system ffermio, dywedodd Emily: \u201cRydym yn gwneud pob ymdrech i fynd yn \u00f4l i\u2019r hen ddyddiau ac i draddodiadau ffermio ein cyndeidiau. \u201cOnd rydyn ni hefyd yn edrych tua&#8217;r dyfodol ac yn chwarae ein rhan i helpu\u2019r amgylchedd, fel cynyddu faint o garbon sy\u2019n cael ei ddal a ffermio mewn cytgord \u00e2 byd natur.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMae hyn wedi cynnwys plannu gwndwn llysieuol, sydd \u00e2 meillion, sicori a llyriad.
