Bu siopwyr yn prynu cig oen yn hytrach na chyw i\u00e2r a phroteinau eraill mewn newid amlwg yn gynnar yn y gwanwyn.<\/p>\n

Darnau rhostio oedd fwyaf poblogaidd, gyda chynnydd aruthrol o 24 y cant o\u2019r naill flwyddyn i\u2019r llall yn golygu taw dyna oedd 73 y cant o\u2019r holl gig oen a werthwyd, yn \u00f4l yr arbenigwyr ystadegol Kantar. Yng Nghymru y gwelwyd y cynnydd mwyaf yng ngwerthiant cig oen yn gyffredinol.<\/p>\n

\u201cMae\u2019n ymddangos, ar \u00f4l misoedd o fod yn gyndyn i wario, fod ein cwsmeriaid wedi penderfynu gwthio\u2019r cwch allan dros y Pasg a dewis eu ffefryn traddodiadol \u2013 darn \u00a0o gig oen blasus i\u2019w rostio,\u201d meddai Glesni Phillips, Swyddog Gweithredol Gwybodaeth, Dadansoddi a Mewnwelediad Busnes gyda Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC).<\/p>\n

Gwelwyd cynnydd rhyfeddol yng nghyfaint y darnau cig oen i\u2019w rhostio mewn cymhariaeth \u00e2\u2019r cyfnod cyfatebol yn 2023, er eu bod yn ddrutach na mathau eraill o gig coch. Mae ystadegau Kantar yn awgrymu bod cig oen wedi denu siopwyr oddi ar broteinau eraill, fel cyw i\u00e2r, y Pasg hwn, gyda 296,000 o siopwyr ychwanegol yn prynu darnau i\u2019w rhostio.<\/p>\n

\u201cMae\u2019r data yn dangos fod defnyddwyr wedi anwybyddu\u2019r cynhyrchion cig coch rhad y Pasg hwn a phrynu\u2019r darnau rhostio ffres, er bod llawer o bobl yn teimlo gwasgfa ariannol o hyd.\u00a0 Gwerthwyd pedwar y cant yn llai o gigoedd wedi rhewi mewn cymhariaeth \u00e2’r flwyddyn flaenorol, tra bod gwerthiant cig coch ffres wedi cynyddu bron i ddau y cant.<\/p>\n

\u201cMae\u2019n ymddangos fod siopwyr wedi cael gwerth eu harian drwy gyfrwng cynigion hyrwyddo. Yn ystod y Pasg, mae mwyafrif y m\u00e2n-werthwyr fel arfer yn cynyddu hyrwyddiadau ar draws pob categori cynnyrch. Yn nodedig, bu mwy o hyrwyddo i bob protein cig coch nag yn ystod y Pasg diwethaf; fodd bynnag, cig oen oedd yr unig brotein lle gwelwyd twf cyfaint yn ystod ac oddi ar yr hyrwyddo,\u201d meddai Glesni.<\/p>\n
