Amcan yr \u0175yl oedd ei gwneud yn haws i ymwelwyr gael mynediad at gynnyrch bwyd a diod o Gymru a\u2019u gwneud yn fwy ymwybodol ohonynt \u2013 ynghyd ag annog busnesau lletygarwch yng Nghymru i ddefnyddio mwy o fwyd a diod lleol.<\/p>\n<p>Dywedodd John Richards, Arweinydd Cymorth i Gynhyrchwyr a Phroseswyr yn Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC), wrth gynulleidfaoedd yn yr \u0174yl Fwyd Egni ddydd Sadwrn 5 Hydref er bod cynaliadwyedd amgylcheddol yn bwysig, roedd sicrhau cynaliadwyedd ffermydd Cymru fel busnesau hyfyw a phroffidiol hefyd yn hollbwysig.<\/p>\n<p>Wrth siarad fel aelod o\u2019r panel, esboniodd Mr Richards: \u201cPan fyddwn yn clywed y gair \u2018cynaliadwyedd\u2019 byddwn yn aml yn meddwl am gynaliadwyedd amgylcheddol, ond mae gwir angen i ni hefyd ystyried cynaliadwyedd economaidd a chymdeithasol ffermydd a chymunedau gwledig ehangach. Mae gwneud yn si\u0175r fod busnesau fferm Cymru yn broffidiol ac yn ariannol gynaliadwy yn hollbwysig wrth symud ymlaen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pan holwyd mwy am gynaliadwyedd amgylcheddol, esboniodd Mr Richards: \u201cMae ffermwyr Cymru yn cynhyrchu bwyd o ansawdd uchel ac yn dechrau o sylfaen gref. Wrth gwrs, mae lle i wella ond gyda\u2019n harferion, tirwedd a hinsawdd rydym yn dod o fan cychwyn cryf.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pan ofynnwyd iddo am enghreifftiau o arferion da yn y sector cig coch yng Nghymru, dywedodd Mr Richards: \u201cGallwn fynd \u00e2 chi i unrhyw fferm yng Nghymru a dangos enghreifftiau o arferion da; mae yna arferion rhagorol ledled Cymru. Gallwn wneud gwelliannau drwy sicrhau bod arferion rhagorol ar waith ym mhob cam o\u2019r broses gynhyrchu a phrosesu hyd at y defnyddiwr terfynol.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cadeiriwyd y panel gan Dr Eifiona Thomas Lane o Ysgol yr Amgylchedd a Gwyddorau Naturiol ym Mhrifysgol Bangor, sydd yn archwilio cynaliadwyedd ac arloesedd o fewn y sector bwyd a diod yng Nghymru. Yn ymuno \u00e2 Mr Richards ar y panel, roedd Sam Foster, Rheolwr Distyllfa Aber Falls a Dr Julie Webb o brosiect M\u00f4r Ni Gwynedd.\u00a0 Rhoddodd y ddau fewnwelediad i\u2019r sectorau diodydd a bwyd m\u00f4r yng Nghymru a\u2019r hyn yr oeddent yn ei wneud i wella cynaliadwyedd.<\/p>\n<p>Yn \u00f4l crynodeb a gafwyd ar y diwedd gan Dr Eifiona Thomas Lane: \u00a0\u201cMae llawer o\u2019r hyn rydym yn ei gynhyrchu yma yng Nghymru, fel Cig Oen Cymru PGI, Cig Eidion Cymru PGI, bwyd m\u00f4r Cymreig a gwirodydd Aber Falls yn gynnyrch premiwm o ansawdd uchel.
