Mae\u2019r siop gig Prendergast,\u00a0 yn Hwlffordd wedi cipio’r wobr gyntaf am selsig gorau Cymru yn y gystadleuaeth uchel ei pharch, \u2019Cyflwynwch Eich Selsig Gorau 2024\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mae\u2019r gystadleuaeth yn cael ei threfnu gan Hybu Cig Cymru, ac mae hi\u2019n dathlu’r diwydiant porc artisan Cymreig, sef diwydiant o ffermydd bychan a chynhyrchwyr arbenigol.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chris a Rachel Wolsey, ynghyd \u00e2\u2019u dau fab Tom a Mark sy\u2019n rhedeg y siop gig deuluol yn yr Hwlffordd.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mae\u2019r teulu yn ffermio yn Sir Benfro ers bron i hanner canrif, a saith mlynedd yn \u00f4l penderfynon nhw gymryd yr awenau mewn siop gig leol. Dros y saith mlynedd ddiwethaf, mae\u2019r busnes wedi ei drawsnewid, ac mae\u2019r teulu yn ennill gwobrau cyson am safon eu cynnyrch. Mae\u2019r gwobrau hyn yn cynnwys cael eu henwi\u2019n Siop Gig Orau Cymru yng Ngwobrau Siop Gig y Flwyddyn, digwyddiad sy\u2019n rhoi sylw i siopau cig ledled y DU.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mewn digwyddiad yn Ffair Aeaf y Sioe Frenhinol dyfarnwyd y wobr gyntaf i <\/span>Merry Cherry<\/span><\/i>, selsig Nadoligaidd Prendergast, yn y categori newydd sy\u2019n gwobrwyo’r Selsig Nadoligaidd Gorau. Mae hyn ar ben ennill y brif wobr am selsig gorau Cymru.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wrth ymateb i ennill y ddwy wobr, dywedodd Chris Wolsey, \u201cRwyf i mor falch ein bod ni wedi mynd \u00e2 hi o\u2019r diwedd! Roeddem ni ar y rhestr fer ac yn agos iawn at y brig y llynedd a\u2019r flwyddyn cyn hynny! Mae ennill y wobr am y Selsig Nadoligaidd Gorau yn goron ar y cyfan.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMae pawb yn y siop wrth eu bodd.\u00a0 Cyn cystadlu, bu\u2019n rhaid i\u2019r teulu dreialu a blasu\u2019r selsig droeon, er mwyn cyrraedd pwynt ble\u2019r oeddem ni\u2019n hyderus y byddai ein cwsmeriaid yn eu mwynhau. Rwyf i\u2019n hoffi selsig gyda llawer iawn\u00a0 iawn o borc, ac ychydig iawn o berlysiau a sbeisys, sydd wedi eu cymysgu \u00e2 llaw a\u2019u gorchuddio’r selsig \u00e2 chas naturiol.\u00a0 Wrth ddefnyddio cynnyrch mor arbennig \u00e2 phorc wedi ei fagu\u2019n lleol, fy nheimlad i yw y dylen ni adael i\u2019r porc serennu gan sicrhau mai dyna yw prif flas y selsig.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRwy\u2019n credu bod porc Cymru yn well na phorc yr un man arall. Mae\u2019r blas, a\u2019r ffordd rydym ni\u2019n magu\u2019r cig ar ffermydd bychan yn ein gwneud ni\u2019n wahanol i\u2019r ffermydd mawr sy\u2019n ffermio\u2019n fwy diwydiannol.\u00a0 Rydym ni\u2019n gwybod o ble mae holl gig y siop yn dod, mae posib olrhain pob peth yno. Rydym ni\u2019n gweithio\u2019n agos \u00e2\u2019n cwsmeriaid a\u2019r ffermwyr i sicrhau bod y cynnyrch yn cyrraedd y safon uchaf bosib.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Dywedodd Philippa Gill, Arweinydd Ymgysylltu Hybu Cig Cymru , \u201cRydym ni\u2019n falch iawn o lwyddiant Siop Gig Prendergast wrth iddyn nhw gipio dwy wobr yn y gystadleuaeth eleni.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMae safon y gystadleuaeth yn uchel, ac yn dangos y math o gynnyrch artisan safonol sydd ar gael yn lleol i bobl Cymru.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMae ein cynhyrchwyr bychan yn cynnig cynnyrch unigryw sydd wedi eu creu \u00e2 llaw mewn siopau fel Siop Gig Prendergast.
