Yr wythnos ddiwethaf, mynychodd Dr Eleri Thomas gynhadledd flynyddol Cymdeithas Gwyddor Anifeiliaid Prydain ac Iwerddon (BISAS) ble bu\u2019n cyflwyno ar waith ymchwil a datblygu HCC.<\/p>\n

Thema\u2019r gynhadledd oedd \u2018Gwyddor Anifeiliaid: y diwydiant ac academia yn cefnogi cynhyrchu da byw mewn systemau bwyd cynaliadwy,\u2019 gan roi sylw i\u2019r cysylltiad hanfodol rhwng ymchwilwyr a\u2019r diwydiant.<\/p>\n

Meddai Dr Thomas: \u201cRoedd yn ddigwyddiad addas i\u2019w fynychu i amlinellu\u2019r prosiectau cyffrous ym mhortffolio ymchwil HCC. Mae\u2019r rhain yn cynnwys Cam 2 o Raglen Geneteg Defaid Cymru, Peilot Llinell Sylfaen yr Amgylchedd sy\u2019n brosiect i\u2019r DU gyfan, Glaswelltir LUNZ a Smart Nutrient Cymru. Mae\u2019r prosiectau cydweithredol yma\u2019n edrych ar wahanol agweddau o amaethyddiaeth a chynhyrchu bwyd ond mae ganddynt yr un nod, sef gwella effeithiolrwydd a chynaliadwyedd y sector i\u2019r dyfodol.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noddwyd y sesiwn y bu Dr Thomas yn rhan ohoni ar y cyd gan HCC a\u2019r NSA. Roedd yn edrych ar effeithiau geneteg a maeth ar berfformiad anifeiliaid cnoi cil bach.<\/p>\n

Ychwanegodd: \u201cRoedd y gynulleidfa\u2019n cynnwys sefydliadau eraill o\u2019r diwydiant, ymchwilwyr ac academyddion, a phob un \u00e2 gwir ddiddordeb yn natblygiad gwyddor anifeiliaid a chynhyrchu da byw. Roedd cytundeb cyffredinol bod tystiolaeth a data yn angenrhediol ar gyfer meithrin datblygiadau arloesol a chynaliadwy.\u201d<\/p>\n
