Over the last six months HCC has been actively seeking to engage with the whole red meat supply chain in order to develop a fuller picture of the opportunities and threats we as an industry face to inform future priorities as part of our future strategy (Vision 2030).

Engagement has included presence at 16 auction markets across Wales over the period; a farmers survey; one-to-one and one-to-many industry meetings to garner both formal and informal feedback; culminating in a formal ‘call for views’ from representative groups and wider levy-payer organisations.

We are now reaching the end of this process with the strategy being finalised with the aim of publishing in early 2026.

To broaden our engagement efforts into the future, we will be hosting a series of regional events across Wales in early 2026 to update levy-payers about the strategy, replacing our traditional annual conference held in November.

In the meantime, HCC will once again be attending the Royal Welsh Winter Fair (24-25 November) this year so please do call by to see us on our stand.
