Inflation and high farm input costs continue to significantly challenge the agricultural sector, impacting profitability and complicating decision-making for Welsh farmers. To better understand these issues, Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) has surveyed Welsh farming businesses every year since September 2022.

HCC now invites farmers across Wales to participate in a fifth survey to assess current challenges and future business plans, helping to guide future discussions.

Capturing the views of the industry from Welsh beef and/or sheep farmers is vital to ensuring that HCC and policy makers are fully informed of the complex challenges producers are facing.

The survey is open NOW and will close on Monday 12th October 2026. By completing this survey, you will also be entered into a free prize draw with a chance of winning a £100 meat voucher.

Participation in this research is completely voluntary. By completing the online survey, you consent to be included in the research. You can withdraw from the research at any time. Your views and experiences are important in order to help inform HCC responses to the challenges facing farms across Wales.
