{"id":5542,"date":"2025-08-21T15:01:25","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T15:01:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/meatpromotion.wales\/?p=5542"},"modified":"2025-08-21T15:05:32","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T15:05:32","slug":"hcc-calls-for-industry-views-for-vision-2030","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/meatpromotion.wales\/en\/newsroom\/hcc-calls-for-industry-views-for-vision-2030\/","title":{"rendered":"HCC calls for industry views for Vision 2030"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hybu Cig Cymru \u2013 Meat Promotion Wales (HCC) is inviting organisations and individuals from across the red meat industry in Wales to participate in this call for industry views assessing challenges and opportunities for the sector over the coming years.\u00a0 Views will support the development of a future\u00a0<em>Red Meat Industry Vision for Wales<\/em>, 2026-30.<\/p>\n<p>A farmer survey has already been completed earlier in the summer of 2025 which sought producer levy-payers\u2019 views towards HCC\u2019s work and challenges and opportunities within the sector.<\/p>\n<p>Vision 2030 will be published by the spring of 2026 following agreement from the HCC Board and approval by the Welsh Government. HCC\u2019s current vision developed with the industry,\u00a0<em>\u2018<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/meatpromotion.wales\/en\/about\/corporate-information-2\/corporate-information\/\"><em>Red Meat Vision for Wales\u2019<\/em><\/a><u>,<\/u>\u00a0runs to the end of this Senedd term.<\/p>\n<p>The key points to this engagement are surrounding specific themes that have been identified during an industry engagement process in early 2025, these include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Theme 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Livestock numbers<\/li>\n<li><strong>Theme 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Processing capacity<\/li>\n<li><strong>Theme 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Trade<\/li>\n<li><strong>Theme 4:<\/strong>\u00a0Consumption<\/li>\n<li><strong>Theme 5:<\/strong>\u00a0Environmental research<\/li>\n<li><strong>Theme 6:<\/strong>\u00a0Farm profitability<\/li>\n<li><strong>Theme 7:<\/strong>\u00a0Industry advocacy and defence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Organisations and individuals may respond by emailing their responses to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Vision2030@hybucig.cymru\"><strong>Vision2030@hybucig.cymru<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0<em>\u2018Red Meat Industry Vision for Wales, 2026-30\u2019<\/em>\u00a0as the subject, or mail them to:\u00a0Hybu Cig Cymru \u2013 Meat Promotion Wales (HCC), Ty Rheidol, Aberystwyth, SY23 3FF.
