Over the last six months HCC has been actively seeking to engage with the whole red meat supply chain in order to develop a fuller picture of the opportunities and threats we as an industry face to inform future priorities as part of our future strategy (Vision 2030).<\/p>\n
Engagement has included presence at 16 auction markets across Wales over the period; a farmers survey; one-to-one and one-to-many industry meetings to garner both formal and informal feedback; culminating in a formal \u2018call for views\u2019 from representative groups and wider levy-payer organisations.<\/p>\n
We are now reaching the end of this process with the strategy being finalised with the aim of publishing in early 2026.<\/p>\n
To broaden our engagement efforts into the future, we will be hosting a series of regional events across Wales in early 2026 to update levy-payers about the strategy, replacing our traditional annual conference held in November.<\/p>\n
