Our children are the cooks and consumers of the future and so HCC works on behalf of levypayers to increase their understanding of diet and nutrition, how food is produced, and the important part that lean red meat plays in a balanced diet.

HCC has researched and created a wide range of teaching materials and classroom activities that focus on farming in Wales, where our food comes and cooking skills.

HCC has produced a palette of 16 different options for 4-7 year olds that include drawing, colouring, matching while 8-11 year olds can discover what makes red meat so special in a narrative format with colouring, cutting out and gluing exercises and even a specialist sudoku.

See for yourself: access these activities now on our consumer website, Eat Welsh Lamb & Welsh Beef.

Our catalogue of educational resources is accessible here.

So why not play a part? To get your kids involved in cooking- just follow our social media channels for the latest recipes using Welsh Lamb, Welsh Beef and pork from Wales.
