The Welsh Beef brand will be promoted on S4C throughout December as part of a multimedia marketing campaign led by Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales (HCC).
Our partnership with S4C ensures that the Welsh Beef advertisement will receive significant visibility. It will be broadcast regularly at various times throughout the day featuring prominently in the programme credits. This consistent exposure will help strengthen brand awareness and reinforce our message to a wide audience.
HCC Brand Engagement Lead, Pip Gill said: “We have been lucky to secure such a great platform to promote the Welsh Beef brand at a time when people look forward to cosy nights in front of the telly. By featuring on S4C throughout December, we hope to encourage consumers of all ages to treat themselves to Welsh Beef, either as a warming winter dish to feed the family or as an alternative to the traditional turkey.
“Research shows that consumers are more likely to support local produce around Christmas, which makes it the perfect time to promote Welsh Beef.”
Geraint Evans, S4C Chief Executive, said: “We are grateful to Meat Promotion Wales for sponsoring the feast of Christmas content on S4C this year, bringing two staples of the season together – good food and great TV.
“S4C has something to everyone’s taste this Christmas, to be enjoyed across our platforms.”
The partnership with S4C is only one element of the campaign, which spans multiple channels. A digital campaign across Meta platforms started in November, and advertisements were placed in busy locations in central Cardiff, targeting the rugby fans visiting the city for the Autumn Internationals. Boxing legend Lauren Price MBE has been recruited as Welsh Beef Brand Ambassador, and specialist technology is being used to monitor footfall into targeted retail locations.
