EIDCymru staff will be out and about over the coming weeks, promoting the useful facilities available to sheep, goat and deer keepers on its online movement reporting website.
The team will visit markets and ram and breeding sheep sales across Wales – from Ruthin to Carmarthen - to encourage farmers to register for an online account and to show how to make the most of what’s available to them.
Gwion Aeron, EIDCymru lead said:
“Registering for an EIDCymru online account has many advantages. These include creating and confirming a movement on or off your farm which saves on the need to post or deliver paper licenses. All movements can be checked for accuracy, and you can keep an eye on compliance, which is helpful when preparing for an inspection. In addition, the Sheep & Goat Annual Inventory can be completed via your account later in the year when it opens on 1 December.”
He added:
“Once registered, you can log in to your online account, using the dashboard to choose the many functions available for you to use. If you are having trouble with the registration process or need help to navigate your account, do come and talk to us at a market and we will show you how it’s done. To create an online account, you will need an email address, primary farm CPH, RPW Customer Reference Number (CRN), and your six-digit flock number.
“We would encourage all keepers to make the most of the free services on offer to them, which will make their lives easier.”
EIDCymru will be at the following locations:
- 3/10/25 – Dolgellau market
- 9/10/25 – Devil’s Bridge market
- 10/10/25 – Carmarthen market
- 15/10/25 – Rhayader market
