HCC partners with NSA Welsh Sheep 2027
Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) has been announced as a Major Sponsor of NSA Welsh Sheep 2027, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the Welsh sheep sector and driving industry improvement.
The National Sheep Association (NSA) also confirmed Pilgrims Europe as a Major Sponsor of the flagship event, which will take place on Wednesday 19 May 2027 at Ty-Draw, Llanasa, Holywell, hosted by the Roberts family.
HCC's sponsorship is being funded through Phase 2 of Welsh Sheep Genetics (WSG), a three-year Welsh Government initiative managed and delivered by the red meat levy board. At the event, HCC will showcase the programme and its role in encouraging the uptake of genetic improvement within Welsh sheep flocks.
WSG aims to help producers improve productivity, efficiency and environmental performance through better use of performance data and evidence-based breeding decisions. The initiative also supports industry benchmarking, long-term business planning and continued innovation across the sheep sector.
NSA Welsh Sheep 2027 will provide an ideal platform for HCC to engage directly with farmers, breeders and industry professionals from across Wales, demonstrating how genetic improvement can contribute to the success of sheep enterprises.
